During the planning phase, we provide a clear project timeline, including construction milestones and expected completion date, so you can plan around it. We don’t start a build without an agreed timeline.

Yes – this is one of our specialties. Auckland’s volcanic terrain means a large proportion of residential sections have challenging slopes, drainage issues, or existing retaining walls that need upgrading or replacement.

We design and build retaining walls in keystone blocks, timber, and stone. We also coordinate with geotechnical engineers and Auckland Council where consents or engineering sign-off are required. If your section has a problem to solve before it can look good, we solve the problem first.

Landscape architects typically handle large-scale or technically complex projects involving engineering, resource consent, or public/commercial spaces. Landscape designers focus on the aesthetic and functional design of residential outdoor spaces.

For most Auckland homeowners, a landscape designer is the right fit. If your project requires resource consent, engineering coordination, or council approval, TALC manages that process, including working with registered landscape architects where required. We’ll advise which applies to your project at your first consultation.

Almost always. During your site assessment we photograph and record all existing landscape elements like mature trees, structures, garden features, and existing paving, and advise which are worth keeping, repurposing, or removing. Retaining healthy mature trees, for example, can save years of establishment time and adds significant character to a design.

We never rip out and start fresh unless the existing elements genuinely don’t serve the new design. If something is worth keeping, we’ll build around it.

Every TALC project includes a handover walkthrough, plant-care guidance, and a 12-month workmanship warranty covering defects and construction issues.

We also offer tailored garden maintenance packages for clients who want TALC to continue caring for their landscape after the build. This includes seasonal planting, pruning, lawn care, hedge trimming, and irrigation servicing, all managed by the team who designed and built the space.
